Mischa Barton
Barton is an American-born British actress who performs in cinema TV, theater, and the stage. In the Lincoln Center in New York City, she made her debut on stage in Tony Kushner's Slavs! as well as portrayed the role of a lead character in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. Her acting debut came in 1996 when she made a guest appearance on the American serial-opera All My Children, and she voiced characters in the Nickelodeon animated show KaBlam! Her time in TV was between 1996 and 1997. From 1996 to 1997, she acted as the lead for the famous drama Lawn Dogs (1997) alongside Sam Rockwell, marking her the first major acting role. In 1999, she was a part in M. Night Shyamalan's psychological drama The Sixth Sense and the romantic comedic movie Notting Hill. Also, she was a part of the independent crime drama Pups. Barton then acted as Rachel Wood's lover in ABC's Once and Again 2001 and the drama for independent producers Lost and Delirious (2002). For her role as Marissa Cooper on the Fox television series The O.C. in 2003-2006 her performance was recognized with two Teen Choice Awards. Barton was voted the "It girl of 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the role. Since 2003, Barton has acted in the drama Closing the Ring, directed by Richard Attenborough, as well as comedies like St Trinian's and The Assassination of a High School President. She also made a return to the television screen in 2009and appeared in the CW series The Beautiful Life, which Ashton Kutcher produced.
