Anne Marie Wersching was born in St. Louis and raised in the city. In the beginning, she decided to pursue a career in entertainment. The actress performed in the local theaters as well as danced for 14 years with an ensemble called St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers. The actress was a part of numerous touring productions and performed in the Utah Shakespearean Festival after moving to Chicago. In 1999, she graduated with an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from the Millikin University School of Theater and Dance located in Decatur, Illinois.
