Transgender - Is The Voice's Sasha Allen a girl?
Sasha first came out as transgender at the age of high school. Sasha had to face some tough times but knew his family would support him and music was a way to help. Jim and Sasha - both songwriters - were just recently forming an official band. In the past, they have appeared at many local venues such as open mics. Even though The Voice coaches did not talk about Sasha's background, the duo and Jim discussed their journey to where they are today through a short introduction clip that was played prior to the show. They discussed their favourite music and Sasha's first guitar. As his father is an experienced music teacher, he was better able to grasp the concept. Sasha was born a female and struggled with his identity as a child. In a post on Instagram the teen shared his struggles. Meanwhile, Jim overcame with emotion in his explanation of the reasons why he was not able to be one of those struggling circumstances. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant, was born as a girl. Sasha Allen will be 19 to be 19 in 2021. Sasha made public his trans identity during the first year of high school and started transitioning from male to female. Sasha was the third ever trans person on the show, wrote: "I feel so honored to represent the trans community trans people in such an important manner."
