Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. The following year, Felix earned her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her events.
