Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on 18 November the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her speedy abilities while she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first attempt, she finished with a second-place finish in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix finished high school by signing a contract as a professional athlete with the company that makes sports Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an unofficial Junior World Record doing 200 m in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her races.
