Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of every event.
